I am a self-employed consultant working out of a home-office. Also, I am over 50 years old. For these reasons, I am "allowed" to have the following IT profile...dial-up ISP service/Windows 98/IE 5.0? Anyway, given all the above, the time-lag between screens is much longer/slower than when I'm on the old board. This is probalby not an issue for most of your viewers using "company" systems access with at least DSL access. One more comment, a spell check button would be nice. I'm a lousy speller and dare I say many other posters are, too!

I don't know why your response time would be slower on the new board. Not to make light of your comment, but the cause, whether in the board software or in your connection, is likely to be something that I cannot control or change. The ASPPlayground forum software is designed to be much faster and has received many favorable reviews in regard to its speed. You might try switching to "simplified flat view" or "flat view" in My Profile - Preferences to see if that would speed things up a bit for you. I also run with a dialup connection, and I use "flat view"; my response time is better on the new board even though I am often connected at under 56kbps.

We currently run version 2.4.3 of ASPPlayground. The spell checker, along with a true WYSIWYG editor is coming with version 2.4.5 which has not been released yet.
