Just curious if any one out there is using there bandsaw to prep pallets for repair?

Not me.  I don't even use a lead board remover.  Never could justify the expense.  However, my application isn't as automated as yours.  I don't prep the pallets before they hit the repairmen, but instead let them do all of their repair work and the sorting too.  Given my system, the guys average about 24-25 pallets per hour with one man stacking/sorting at the end of the line.  What kind of turn-out do you get per repairman and per man in the repair system?

I think its a good idea. I have tried it on a small scale with pretty good results. We don't do it now because of space and my bandsaws are always busy with teardown pallets. No room to add another one. It sure reduces pounding in nails. One problem is you need enough space between boards to get the band in, which most but not all pallets will have.

Yes, we have two band saws that work well for us.

Has anyone ever heard of Morgan Wood Products in Dublin Ohio?
