When market conditions for new lumber sharply rise or fall, I always find it a challenge to get the real picture from my suppliers at first. Eventually my squawking nets me a clearer picture and some price relief. The irony here is that sometimes I end up doing the same thing to an occasional customer, possibly due to the brainwashing by my previous experience with my suppliers.

Why aren't you aware of the market conditions first, so they don't surprise you. Then you can speak with your suppliers on an even ground. Look......... with all the fluctuation in the oil market recently..... wouldn't it behoove you to study up on your primary raw material supplier. Henry Ford excelled at it...... it was only till his kids took it over did it go awry.
