Welcome to the PalletBoard!
The PalletBoard has recently undergone a facelift and is better than ever.
It offers the same old user friendly discussion environment with loads of new
features. If you have a question about any of the new features, please visit the
Problems/Technical Assistance/FAQ forum.
Anyone may view messages, but only registered users can post messages.
Registration is free,
quick, easy to do and has a number of benefits.
You can post and still protect your privacy and identity -

Getting Started...
First time users will need to register and complete the registration process
by responding to an e-mail that you should receive shortly after submitting
your registration information. All you have to do is click on one of the two
links provided in the e-mail - this will activate your account. Then you must login
using the screen name and password to post or use advanced features.
Forum Descriptions
The new PalletBoard is divided into five sections. Most users will want to post
in either the "PalletBoard - Main Forum" for general discussion
(the top one on the list) or the "Wanted/Looking for Board". Only the
administrators can post in the "Best of the PalletBoard" and "Old PalletBoard
Posts" forums.
Basic Commands
Any forum with a new message will have a yellow page icon
next to it.
As you view messages, the system keeps track of what registered users have
and have not seen. You can bring up "Today's Posts"
or "Posts Since Last Visit"
by clicking on the icons shown here which are located at the bottom of the main screen.
To view the messages in a forum, click on the forum name. The most recent
message threads will be at the top of the screen. You will then need to click on
the plus sign
next to the thread to bring up all the messages within that thread.
You can view the first two lines of each post by scrolling over the post name.
Once you have clicked on a post, you can respond to the message by clicking
the
icon. You can also
the message, subscribe
to a thread to receive updates,
the poster,
a member, view a printable version
of the message,
the post if you wrote it, or
the post to someone else.
Any user can change the viewing style of the thread by clicking on either
"Flat Style"
or "Tree Style"
depending on the current view setting.
If you want to post a new thread, click on the
button.
Posting Pictures
There are two ways registered users can include images in their posts:
- Link to an image on the Web:
Click the image button and put the URL of the
image between the two image tags. The URL is the location of the image on the Web.
You can find the URL for an image by right clicking on it with your mouse
and selecting the "Properties" option from the menu. For example, you could
load the current cover of the Pallet Enterprise in your post by
using the following URL: http://www.palletenterprise.com/images/cover.jpg.
Here is an example of what it would look like in your post:
[image]http://www.palletenterprise.com/images/cover.jpg[/image]

- Upload an image from your PC or local network:
Check the box to embed the image and then
click on "Click here to upload".
Enter the file name of the image, or if you don't know the file name,
use the "Browse" button to search your system.
When you find the file, click the "Open" button.
Then click the "Ok" button to upload the image.
(Image file formats allowed: jpeg, gif, bmp, png.)
The image will not show in the preview of your post.
You may also attach a file to your post. The allowed file format and
the maximum file size will be displayed when you click on "Click
here to upload".
Private Messaging
Registered users can send private messages to other registered users by
clicking on the
icon. Or users can send private messages by clicking on the
"Address Book" link on
the navigational bar at the top of the screen.
Private messages are sent to a user's inbox in the PalletBoard system and
are not sent directly to the user's e-mail address. This allows a user to
receive correspondence without having to give out his e-mail address.
Subscribe to Monitor a Thread
Registered users can also monitor posts to see when updates are made by
subscribing to a thread. You will be notified via e-mail when messages are
added. This allows you to easily monitor a discussion thread of interest.
Click on the "My Subscription" link on the navigation bar at the top of the
screen or click on the "Subscribe"
icon just above a particular message.
Change Settings
Registered users can change their settings by clicking on the
"My Profile" link
on the navigational bar at the top of the screen.
