What is that item called that recyclers sometimes use instead of plates to repair cracked stringers? It shoots from a gun and has a "squiggly" appearance from a side view. Look as if they are about 2" tall. I have heard them referred to as "waffles"

We call them cleats and cleat guns. We use 3/8" cleats. They work very well.
