White Pallet Guy -> Nailing Machine Dilemma (7/24/2008 3:53:42 PM)

I am considering buying a new-to-me nailing machine, but I am a little concerned about the talk of efforts to push block pallets into the mainstream of the GMA pool. Viking makes a great machine. But I don't want to buy a nailing machine that only makes stringer pallets if block is going to be gaining bigger market share in the non-rental pallet industry. I could buy a block/stringer machine, but it would cost more. Is versatility worth the price? Making block pallets by hand is fairly labor intensive although we do some of that work now for clients.

I don't see any huge block pallet orders in the near future. But that could change in two years. I wish I just knew how this would all shake out...any thoughts?

Thanks,
WPG

The Nailerman -> RE: Nailing Machine Dilemma (8/15/2008 2:31:52 PM)

There is a nailing machine company that has a history longer than Viking.  Have you heard of GBN Pallet Nailers?  All of their systems can be set up to make block and stringer pallets.  Take a look at www.nailerman.com.  From Time to Time we advertise in Pallet Enterprise.  Get in touch with me and I will at 1 804 288-6693 you information on what GBN can do for you.  I think you will be surprised.

www.nailerman.com

The extra period at the end causes an error.  I think I'm going to have to get a new name and play grammar man.
