Palletguy -> Auto login (7/20/2005 10:19:45 PM)

Some people seem to be having difficulty logging in and staying logged in.

I guess that explains this.

“Now do not logout”
Just close your browser or surf to another site. The next time you come to the Pallet Forum it will log you in automatically.
If you do log out or if you clear your Cookie cache you will have to log back in.

If you follow these steps and still have to log in: Your Internet privacy settings are probably set to high.

Finally: For one click Login using Windows XP and Internet Explorer.

Left click on the address Icon and hold

Drag the shortcut down to the quick launch toolbar and locate the black line between any two icons. Release the mouse button to add the new Icon.

Click on the new Icon and you are logged in and ready to go.

You can use this method to make any page on the forum your start page.

Note to the administrators: I don’t think that I missed anything, but if you want to edit anything into or out of this post, feel free. Should you decide to develop a descriptive “Online Users Manual”, I would be glad to help out.

Thanks. I've nothing to add. I think you did a great job of explaining "Save as cookie" logins.
